A hair-raising journey into Altrad!

Kerri Cannell’s journey with Altrad began back in 2001, when she joined the business on an initial six-month contract, providing maternity cover as a Logistics Administrator.

Since then, Kerri has progressed through the business into her current role as Senior Personnel & Logistics, looking after our Perenco and Petrofac contracts. Kerri’s role requires her to liaise with our clients and manage their requests for support, co-ordinating our people to ensure they available to carry out the necessary work and supplying them with all the necessary documentation prior to their arrival at the work location.

But it hasn’t always been logistics and personnel for Kerri, who began her career as a hairstylist, working for some renowned brands, having been placed highly in a variety of competitions. Kerri continues with this passion today, often cutting the hair of her family and friends.

When asked about her future and what she most enjoyed about working at Altrad, Kerri replied “I really enjoy the interactions with our clients and our people and maintaining these strong relationships. I’m really pleased to be continuing my career with Altrad and would be keen to use my interpersonal skills to greater effect, perhaps with our Human Resources team if the opportunity arises.”

During her tenure, Kerri has seen the business develop and it’s thanks to people like Kerri the Norwich office has grown to where it is today.”

From the airwaves to the waves of the Southern North sea!

Our Norwich office has it all…  How many companies can say they have a celebrity on their books? Well we are proud to be one of the very few – introducing you to our very own Stewart Overy.

It seems like an age ago, but Stewart began his career as a teenager at a local radio station, starting off as a tea boy rising up to become a presenter of a popular evening show. In addition, Stewart has also volunteered at other local radio stations, working on an award-winning youth mentoring project, which provides high school and college students the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be on the radio.

Of course, on-air presenting is exciting, but the waves are somewhat calmer than those he navigates today, in his role as Altrad’s commercial assistant, for our offshore contract with Perenco.

When asked what he enjoyed most about his job, Stewart said “I get a real sense of achievement from my role, the responsibility sits with me to ensure that accurate invoices are provided to the client so the business can receive payment for the hard work of everyone in the Norwich team.”

Stewart added, “My goal is to be sat in front of a client and demonstrate the full range of services we can offer to them. To be called upon to produce, or feed into tenders and who knows, in the future I might even lead a team with a new client.”

Carl Wilkinson, Portfolio Manager commented “Stewart has immense drive to achieve more and push himself forward. He recently enrolled onto a QS course which involves large amounts of dedication to study at home. I’m delighted we have people in our team like Stewart, in a role which can be repetitive, he constantly maintains a strong work ethic and is always happy to lend a hand and does so with a smile on his face.”
